Branch Manager – Freight Forwarding

Job Function
Overseeing and managing all operational and administrative facets of the Freight Forwarding branch office falls to the Branch Manager. Strong leadership abilities, in-depth understanding of freight forwarding processes, and the capacity to efficiently lead a team define this role. Driving company expansion, guaranteeing client happiness, and keeping branch operations effective are all responsibilities the Branch Manager.
Key Performance Areas
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead and guide a team of roughly six staff members—including recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management—effectively.
Encourage a good and cooperative workplace by supporting professional development, responsibility, and team building.
Assign duties wisely to guarantee effective division of labor and resource allocation.
Operations Management:
Assist in establishing the branch systems, processes, and resource allocation.
Supervise and coordinate all branch operational activities including import/export procedures, customs clearance, documentation, logistics, and transportation.
Make that corporate rules and processes, industry standards, and applicable laws are followed.
Track and evaluate operational performance indicators to increase efficiency and output by means of changes.
Sales:
Create and carry out plans to meet branch-specific sales goals and help the company develop as a whole.
Find fresh business prospects, strengthen ties with clients and partners, and grow the consumer base.
Work with the sales team to create efficient marketing and promotional campaigns to boost income and market share.
Customer Service:
Keep a close eye on customer happiness and make sure services are provided quickly, precisely, and in line with their needs.
Resolve problems to preserve good client connections by promptly and professionally handling consumer questions, difficulties, and complaints.
Hold frequent client meetings to grasp their changing demands and offer suitable solutions.
Financial Management:
Create and run the yearly budget for the branch, regularly tracking income and expenses to guarantee financial goals are reached.
Examining and studying financial reports helps one to find areas that need work and to carry out cost-cutting actions wherever feasible.
Work with the finance department to guarantee correct and prompt billing, invoicing, and financial reconciliation.
Other
Responsible for the administration and direction of an engaged team, promoting cooperation and ensuring that team members are developed and assessed against goals and objectives which are aligned, specified, measurable, attainable yet challenging, reasonable and time bound.
When working, act as a DP World ambassador; promote and show good behaviours in line with DP World's values, principles, and culture; guarantee the utmost safety in every activity; know and follow DP World's Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.
Carry out additional allocated relevant tasks.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a similar discipline. Professional qualifications are a plus.
A demonstrated track record and recent experience (7+ years) in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field, with a strong knowledge of import/export processes, customs laws, and transportation logistics is required.
