Current Opportunity: Merchant Business Relationship Officer I

Tanzania Commercial Bank is now looking for a performance-driven, self-motivated, well-organized person to fill the role of Merchant Business Relationship Officer I.

This position is perfect for someone with experience in relationship management, especially in the financial services sector, and who is enthusiastic about improving customer happiness, expanding business portfolios, and promoting creativity in banking solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and keep close ties with payment solution providers, business clients, and merchants.
  Look for ways to obtain new merchant accounts and expand current portfolios.
  Encourage and help people use TCB digital payment systems including mobile applications, QR codes, and POS.
  Help retailers with technical concerns, payment reconciliation, and transaction debugging.
  Gather and examine merchant comments to constantly enhance services.
  Guarantee complete adherence to internal policies and legal standards.
  Prepare and file regular reports on operational indicators, client feedback, and merchant performance.
  Work with other departments to improve customer experience and simplify support and onboarding procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Banking, Finance, or a related discipline.
  Minimum two years of experience in relationship management, business development, or merchant acquisition in the banking or telecom/fintech sector.
  Good knowledge of mobile banking services, POS technologies, and payment systems.
  Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  Capacity to create enduring bonds with team members and clients.
  Great degree of integrity, professionalism, and customer-centric approach.
  Computer literacy and knowledge of digital tools including MS Office Suite.
