Job Purpose/Mission
The Logistics Manager in Africa Operations sits at the junction of EEA country teams and worldwide functions supporting product delivery to nations via EEA's supply chain. Managing logistics in all nations, spreading optimizations and cost and delivery efficiencies, assessing distribution and delivery model performance in countries to guarantee the seamless supply and on-time delivery of goods to service centers and sales points in countries supporting the company's income generation activities, is your responsibility in this position. This position aims to improve logistical efficiency, strengthen distribution and delivery capacity, raise compliance with distribution policies and delivery standards, and track possible changes in logistics procedures in and between EEA's countries of operation.

JOB TITLE: Logistics Manager
Key Responsibilities
In-country Logistics:
- Create the logistics community in EEA by raising knowledge of distribution, delivery and logistics systems among the nations.
Improve the logistics and distribution systems of nations by creating the necessary tools, policies and guidelines and simplified methods of operation.
Examine, find, and apply (DMAIC) the scalable logistics models including the option of in-house / outsourced (cost-benefit analysis) operations for the particular countries to guarantee on-time and efficient positioning of items in the last mile.
Identify possibilities for cost optimization within the product delivery value chain to improve efficiency and cashflow, then design and carry out logistics plans to reduce costs while preserving excellent service levels throughout all 9 countries.
Coordinate internal partners—sales, finance, operations in many countries—to improve planning and delivery execution methods guaranteeing timely and correct product positioning in line with market needs.
Create plans to lower transit losses / damages and raise product traceability in the logistics value chain.
Design and carry out plans to maximize EEA's product time to market by boosting national logistics efficiency, lowering delivery lead time, improving route to market for right place, and right time deliveries.
Create visibility (by technology and other instruments) to monitor end-to-end logistics for goods in the value chain per shipment (at warehouse, in transportation, in shops / service centers, in last mile, with agents).
Regular reports to top management on logistics performance, cost savings, and strategic ideas for improving in-country logistics should be prepared and presented.
Oversee cooperation with 3PLs and outside partners to bargain with suppliers, carriers, and guarantee dependable, reasonably priced services.
Oversee the logistics community's learning and training requirements in the various nations; make sure all internal stakeholders are informed on policies, processes and procedures.
Africa Logistics:
- Take custody of the inter-country stock transfers and reshuffles from the logistical perspective.
- Coordinate with countries to ensure reshuffles are executed in a timely manner to avoid stock-out periods in countries expecting the inventory for sales.
- Work with internal stakeholders such as S&OP, inventory management, Freight project management to devise effective methods to deliver the products across countries at minimum cost.
- Ensure conformity to all requirements for export and import across the countries to enable smooth shipping, licenses, certifications, test reports, origin documents, customs declarations etc.

Knowledge And Skills
Experience:
- Over five years of expertise in international supply chain, operations, and logistics.
Strong knowledge of service delivery techniques for operational improvement and cost control.
Observance acumen with the ability to identify opportunity areas and use techniques to cut expenses and boost efficiency.
From selection, evaluation, execution, and monitoring, outstanding with analytics and optimization tools.
A driven leader who can inspire cross-cultural teams to achieve shared goals.
Outstanding interpersonal skills and the capacity to create and sustain new partner ties (outside organizations).
Ability to work alone and willingness to learn and adjust in a fast-paced logistical setting.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, International business, or comparable disciplines.
Important are professional certifications in supply chain, transportation, and logistics such as CSCP, CLTD, CILT.
A master's degree in operations management, supply chain management, or logistics management would be even more beneficial.
Language(s):
- English
- French & Portuguese are a plus
Technology:
- Expert in advanced MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Knowledge of logistics software such SAP, Sage, NetSuite, Oracle, ERP systems, and distribution and delivery optimization and planning tools.
Data analysis done well helps to support important KPIs and measures.
